Equus Total Return, Inc. (NYSE: EQS) ("Equus" or the "Fund") announced the results of the Fund's Annual Meeting of Stockholders which took place on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. The purpose of the meeting was to: (i) elect nine director nominees, each for a term of one year; (ii) ratify the appointment of UHY LLP as the Fund's independent auditor for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2014; and (iii) approve on a non-binding advisory basis, the compensation paid to the Fund's named executive officers in 2013.
Holders of 70.32% of the Fund's outstanding shares were present in person or represented by proxy at the Annual Meeting and approved the election of the nine director nominees, the appointment of UHY for fiscal year 2014, and the compensation paid to the Fund's named executive officers in 2013.
