BRIEF: SeaWolves' Moya receives invitation to Futures Game

June 25--In the midst of a losing streak, the Erie SeaWolves received some good news Tuesday when outfielder Steven Moya received an invitation to play in the annual Major League Baseball Futures Game, which showcases promising talent in minor league baseball each season.

Moya, 22, is listed as the No. 20 prospect in the Tigers organization according to MLB.com. He is hitting .260 with 16 home runs and 50 RBIs this season.

Detroit will also be represented by Jake Thompson, 20, who is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the organization. The starting pitcher is currently with Class-A Lakeland and is 6-2 with a 2.43 ERA.
