ZTE to deploy TD-LTE network for Wind Telecom

The Dominican Republic internet, TV and telephony operator Wind Telecom has contracted the Chinese equipment vendor ZTE to deploy a Time Division Long Term Evolution (TD-LTE) 4G network. Under the multi-year deal, ZTE will supply infrastructure operating in the 2.5GHz-2.7GHz band covering major cities and rural areas, as well as provide 4G mobile devices. The rollout is part of a USD27 million investment programme announced by Wind Telecom in October last year.
