“Our customers rely on our online banking applications to conduct their day-to-day transactions. Downtime is not an option for us. If a disaster hits our data center, we need to have our system up and running within 24 hours so we need to be able to replicate within 24 hours,” said Steve Borba, AVP and network security manager at Citizens Business Bank. “We originally had a 45 megabit-per-second (Mbps) pipe and then expanded to a 100 Mbps pipe, but it still wasn’t enough to replicate all of our data to our disaster recovery site.”

While running Dell SC-Series Storage SAN-to-SAN replication with VMware vSphere 5.5, the company needed to find a software-based WAN solution that would integrate seamlessly with both infrastructures. The company selected Silver Peak due its flexible software model and superior data acceleration capabilities.
