GenomeQuest incorporates intellectual property management into its
secure cloud search application
“Our life science customers succeed based on their intellectual property strategy,” said GenomeQuest CEO
This new product launch comes on the heels of GenomeQuest’s initiative to add a manual curation step to its GQ-Pat database, increasing both breadth and depth of coverage of patents in the life science sequence domain. GQ-Pat is planned to have just under 600,000 patents and patent applications from authorities all over the world by the end of 2014, making it the most comprehensive database of such documents in existence. The company has also recently introduced its GQ-Pat SNP database, a collection of single nucleotide polymorphisms found in patents and in patent applications, particularly interesting to the diagnostics industry.
GenomeQuest is a global life science information and search company. Leveraging deep expertise in biology, genomics, and semantics, GenomeQuest produces GQ-Pat, a collection of nearly 300 million biological sequences found in the patent domain.
