Euro Mixed Ahead Of German GfK Consumer Confidence Index

BRUSSELS (Alliance News) - At 2:00 am ET Wednesday, GfK will release the results of its consumer confidence survey for Germany. The forward looking consumer confidence index is estimated to rise to 8.6 in July from 8.5 in June.

Ahead of the data, the euro showed mixed against the other major currencies. While the euro steady against the yen and the franc, it rose against the pound and the greenback.

The euro was worth 1.3607 against the greenback, 1.2162 against the franc, 0.8019 against the pound and 138.68 against the yen as of 1:55 am ET.
