June 24--The preliminary Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp. budget calls for an increase of about $35,000 in spending next year. The budget was reviewed by the JSDC Executive Committee during a meeting Monday.
The preliminary budget for 2015 totals $450,750 compared to $414,500 this year.
The budget includes a 5 percent increase in salaries along with higher building-related expenses, according to Connie Ova, CEO of the JSDC.
Previously, building expenses were shared with South Central Dakota Regional Council. The SCDRC has announced it is seeking its own building because of space issues. With the JSDC covering a greater share of the building expenses, it increased its budget from $15,000 to $37,500.
The executive committee took no action on the budget pending further review.
