TLC Summer Camp

The Teaching and Learning Community will hold a summer camp for children from 18 months to 11 year olds, offering art, craft, design, face painting, maths games, stories, role play, debate, music, gymnastics, cooking, conversational Arabic and more. Participants will also be taken on weekly field trips.

Whispers of Serenity

The Relaxed Kids for the Summer programme will give children the chance to explore drama and movement sessions, art and laughter yoga among other activities. Mondays and Wednesdays, from June 23 to July 23 (11am to 1pm).

Majan Continental Hotel

The health and sports club in Majan Continental Hotel is hosting summer activities for children aged 5 to 15 in swimming, karate, yoga and dance till July 1 (daily 8.45am to 12pm).

Kalabhavan Summer Camp

Kalabhavan School of Music & Arts' Ruwi, Ghubra and Al Hail branches will conduct art and music oriented coaching. Students of the camp will have an opportunity to learn the basic lessons of vocal music, classical dance, cinematic dance, art and craft and musical instruments like keyboard, guitar etc. Students will also participate in field trips to the PDO Planetarium, Natural History Museum and manufacturing industries. Al Falaj Hotel

Al Falaj Hotel's summer camp is focusing  on teaching children dance, drama, arts and crafts, public speaking, karate and yoga, besides conducting field trips. Participants will hold a finale performance on stage at the end of the camp on July 17. Registration is now open for 4 to 13 year olds, from 5pm to 8pm at the hotel. The camp is held weekdays 8.30am to 12.30pm.

National Hospitality Institute

NHI will be teaching junior chefs (8 to 12 year olds) health and food safety tips, cooking methods, dining and social etiquette from July 6 to 31 (Sundays to Thursdays, 3pm to 6pm).

Melody Music Center

Melody will conduct a programme of 12 classes for children older than six years as well as adults at its two branches in Al Khuwayr and Darsait this summer. The theory and practical classes will be held for musical instruments - piano, keyboard, violin, guitar and drums. Participants can be at any musical level, from beginners to advanced. Class dates are not fixed, and will be scheduled at the student's convenience.

Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club

This year's junior summer camp is set for 6 to 16 year olds interested in golf. The programme is broken down into a three-day camp from Sunday to Tuesday, with dates available between June 23 and August 20. Participants will learn the ropes and participate in various golfing activities and quizzes, starting June 23 (Sunday to Tuesday, 3pm to 6pm).

American Lycetuff

American Lycetuff is conducting handwriting classes, swimming, 3D projects using recyclable items, arts and craft, English conversational classes and aerobics for children aged 2 to 10 years. Registration is currently open. The summer camp, running till July 8, is offered at the American Lycetuff branches in Shatti al Qurm, Azaiba, Al Khuwayr, Al Khoudh and Mawaleh. Weekdays 9am to 12 noon.

Children of 8 to 15 years will participate in a four-week programme, learning different themes each week, studying from National Geographic reading books. The themes are archaeology, the environment, travel and science.

The programme is a chance for participants to practice their English as well as fun activities such as creating crafts. This programme is on till June 26.  From June 29 to 24 July (weekdays 8am to 10am).

Amideast will also offer a two-week English learning programme for presentation skills and conversation practice for 14 to 18 year olds.
