Six new members join the Association of National Development Finance Institutions

The 30th General Assembly of the Association of National Development Finance Institutions (ADFIMI) announced today the acceptance of six new members of ADFIMI.

The members added included: Tadamon Islamic Bank, Jordan Islamic Bank, the Kazakhstan Fund for Financial Support of Agriculture JSC, TEKUN National in Malaysia, Al Shamal Islamic Bank in Sudan, Bangladesh Development Bank.

This was announced at the sideline of the Annual Meeting  of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB) being held at the Hilton Hotel, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The meeting convened under the leadership of Mehmet Emin Ozcan, Chairman of ADFIMI, Datuk Mohd Radzif Mohammed Yonus, Vice Chairman of ADFIMI and Nuri Birtek, Secretary General of ADFIMI and a number of members of ADFIMI attended the meeting.

The meeting also took a decision to reduce the membership fees of the least developing member countries and discussed future events that will be held this year, particularly the flagship event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

A working document was presented by Mr. Birtek that discussed several issues including, report of the auditor, the recommendations of the management committee, promotional activities, distribution of members by region, external audit offers and report, along with the ADFIMI audit board and financial tables of 2013 accounts, 2014 second quarter results and budget for 2015.
