Sen. Murphy Introduces Bill to Allow Credit Against Income Tax for Angel Invest Equity Investments

WASHINGTON, June 23 -- Sen. Christopher S. Murphy, D-Conn., has introduced legislation (S. 2497) to "amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to allow a credit against income tax for equity investments by angel investors."

The bill was introduced on June 19 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii.

The legislation was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
