NASA/GRC has a requirement for Recurrent Pilot Training on C-21 Aircraft NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from CAE Simuflite Inc. of DFW Airport Texas, 75261; because, CAE Simuflite is the only company that provides recurrent pilot training for this aircraft. NASA GRC plans to purchase this service as a sole source acquisition from CAE Simuflite pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)1. Statement of Work 1. Provide classroom refresher training covering the following topics: a. Aircraft General b. Electrical systems c. Fuel systems d. Hydraulics e. Powerplant f. Fire protection g. Landing gear and brakes h. Flight controls i. Ice and rain protection j. Pneumatics k. Warning systems l. Weight & balance m. Performance 2. The vender shall also provide simulators sessions covering the following topics: a. Visual Approaches b. Instrument approaches c. V1 cut d. Single engine approaches e. Various emergency scenarios THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 6/26/2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
