Information Technology Contracted Staffing Services

Tenders are invited for Information Technology Contracted Staffing Services. PURPOSE The Orange County Board of County Commissioners, Orange County, Florida, is soliciting proposals for Information Technology Contracted Staffing Services. These Consultants shall be used for short-term assignments, long-term projects and staff augmentation. All questions or concerns regarding this Request for Proposals must be submitted in writing, by email to, no later than 5:00 PM Wednesday, June, 25, 2014 to the attention of Zulay Millan, Senior Purchasing Agent, Procurement Division, referencing the RFP number SCOPE OF SERVICES 1. OVERVIEW Orange County uses technology to improve services to our citizens and customers. The Orange County Information Systems & Services Division focuses on outcomes that improve services and reduces costs. In support of operations, the Contractor shall supply highly skilled Information Technology consultants for short-term assignments, long-term projects and staff augmentation. 2. ENVIRONMENT The Orange County Government data infrastructure consists of a Metro-E backbone built from private fiber, leased fiber and leased circuits. Facilities not directly connected to our fiber network receive data services utilizing leased Metro-E connections. Most desktop systems have switched 100 Base T and most servers have switched 1000 Base T. Orange County ISS maintains redundant connectivity to the Internet supporting a variety of applications and services. The voice infrastructure architecture is a fully IP enabled Avaya S8700 series enterprise platform. IBM AIX and DELL Enterprise servers are centrally located at the Orange County Information Systems & Services Regional Computing Center. Orange County operates multiple IBM Power Systems and over 400 DELL and IBM Intel enterprise level servers. The Regional Computing Center is a hardened data-center facility with industry standard environmental, production control and data-security systems. Information Systems & Services supports over 7,500 desktop workstations. Software standards include the latest Microsoft Office Suite Professional, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft productivity software applications and industry standard business applications. The information below describes the hardware and software environment(s) in Orange County Government. Consultants proposed for assignments under the contract(s) resulting from this RFP shall have specific experience with, but shall not be limited to, the following programming languages, databases, operating systems, hardware, software, network (data and voice) and applications: A. Programming Languages and Tools SQL, MicroFocus Cobol, ,IBI- WebFocus, Oracle SQL, PeopleTools, Peoplecode, PeopleSoft%s Query Tool, SQR, , Business Objects and Crystal Reports, XML, HTML, JAVA, .NET, C#, and ESRI Suite.
