Number of broadband internet users in Ukraine reaches 7.5mn in Q1.

The number of private broadband internet users reached 7.49mn in Q1, reads a statement made by iKS-Consulting press service. In Q1, the rate of subscriber base growth was 0.7% over Q4 2013.iKS-Consulting estimates, in Q1, the amount of revenues from broadband internet services in Ukraine exceeded UAH 1.5bn. Overall dynamics of growth of revenues from broadband internet services testifies to falling new demand for internet services both by commercial entities and the population. Top five companies providing broadband internet services in Ukraine are: the Ukrtelecom telecommunication operator (1.663mn subscribers), the Kyivstar telecommunication operator (787,000), Volia (602,000), Triolan (290,000) and Datagroup (190,000). Over the Q1, the number of Ukrtelecom's broadband internet subscribers increased by 9,000 or 0.54% to 1.656mn.
