Kazakhstan : WORLD BANK to help KOSOVO and KAZAKHSTAN become more energy efficient

The World Bank approved a $21.7 million-grant for Kazakhstan and a $31 million-project for Kosovo that will both be raising the nations energy efficiency.

When it comes to Kosovo, the World Bank approved the $31 millionKosovo Energy Efficiency and Renewable Project that goal is to decrease fossil fuel and energy consumption use in public buildings.

Jan-Peter Olters, World Bank country manager for Kosovo said, Kosovo has considerable potential to increase the efficiency of energy use and integrate renewable sources into its energy supply mix.

Olters said, This project will help to demonstrate the environmental benefits and economic viability of the country s energy strategy, which seeks to secure a cleaner mix of energy in a sustainable and affordable manner.
