The Elkhart Jazz Festival kicked off Friday, June 20, in downtown Elkhart, bringing out music fans looking to snap their fingers and move their feet to some of the best the genre has to offer.

The Mardi Gras-themed parade had to be cancelled due to a spell of rain earlier in the day, but that didn't stop Denver Broncos wide receiver Nathan "Napalm" Palmer from starting off the festivities with the national anthem. Palmer recently released his debut EP, "R.I.P. 2 my Heart", last April at a record release party in his native Elkhart.

Here's a look back at the festivities on Friday, June 20, so far. We'll be updating this story as the event continues into the night.
