BRIEF: Religion Bulletin - June 20, 2014

Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday School this Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church. The lesson will begin at 10 a.m., but doors to the sanctuary will open at 8:30 a.m.


The Sherwood Church Choir and Orchestra will present a patriotic concert, An American Anthology: Celebrating the Music of America, at 6 p.m. on June 29 in the worship center at Sherwood Baptist Church. The free concert will feature songs encompassing 250 years of American musical history, beginning with the American Revolution. Performances will include sacred songs, music celebrating the country's independence and impersonations of popular musicians such as Elvis, The Beach Boys, The Supremes and more. The church is located at 2201 Whispering Pines Road.

Faith and Deliverance Prophetic Ministries will host Women's Conference 2014 at 7:30 p.m. each date on June 26-28. Apostle LaWanda Peters will be conference host. The location is 371 Johnson St. SE in Dawson.

New Mount Holder Baptist Church will celebrate its Deacons and Deaconesses 24th anniversary at 8 p.m. on Saturday. The speaker will be the Rev. Anthony Laster. The theme is "Serving Together in Unity."
