June 20, 2014

HONGKONG, June 20, SinoCast -- Alibaba Cloud Computing (ACC) on June 19 announced its Hong Kong data center passed the test period and will officially enter a large-scale commercial use stage and reduce the international bandwidth price by 87%, which is regarded as a front competition to Amazon's cloud computing.

As reported, ACC reduced the international bandwidth price to CNY 30 per M and month for 5M and below bandwidth and CNY 100 per M and month for 5M and above bandwidth from original CNY 232 per M and month. The Hong Kong data center started to execute the new price from June 20.

The Hong Kong data center's international bandwidth covers Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and many other regions to get direct access to overseas. After the price adjustment, users can use cloud server ECS at lower costs.

Hong Kong is the fourth data center-deployed region by ACC following Hangzhou, Qingdao and Beijing in the world.
