The Government has Confirmed Yoel Naveh as Director of State Revenue and Chief Economist in the Ministry of Finance

JERUSALEM, May 25 -- The Israeli Ministry of Finance issued the following news release:

The Government has unanimously confirmed the Minister of Finance's, Yair Lapid's, appointment of Yoel Naveh as Director of State Revenue and Chief Economist. Naveh will replace Dr. Michael Sarel that fulfilled the position before him.

Since 2009 Naveh managed the Postal Bank, between 2005-2008 he served as manager of credit, pensions and provident funds of the Harel Group, and between 2002-2004 served as CEO of the New Makefet Fund. In addition, between 1993-2002 Naveh fulfilled a variety of positions in the Ministry of Finance, with the most recent being Deputy Director of the Budget Department, responsible for the fields of macro, and budgets and the fields of industry, trade, tourism, communications, science and sport.

Naveh (52 and married +4) holds a 1st degree in Economics and Accountancy, and a 2nd degree in Economics, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Ministry of Finance, Yair Lapid: "Yoel Naveh will contribute greatly to the Ministry of Finance as Chief Economist. The experience Naveh has gained over the years both in the public and private sectors will assist him in leading the State Revenue Department forward."
