President Speaks of Investments With U.S Export-Import Bank CEO

The Angolan Head of State, JosÉ Eduardo dos Santos, discussed with the CEO of the US Export-Import Bank, Fred Hochderg, aspects related to the investments, infrastructures and electrical power for Angola, during an audience that happened on Monday at Luanda'sPresidential Palace.

At the end of the audience, Fred Hochderg considered very fruitful the meeting and said to the press that his bank will invest in the referred projects an amount estimated at USD one billion in the two areas, namely an acquisition of trains and the other for the installation of electrical power.

"It is a true two projects that will mark our first step of work with the Republic of Angola, aiming for the reinforcement and diversification of the Angolan economy ", said the US banker.

In the air transportation field, Fred Hochberg announced that Export-Import Bank has already approved a fund of two Boeing 777 aircrafts, from US, which will arrive in the country, the first one in 2015 and second in 2016, under a partnership with the Angolan Airlines (TAAG).

In the domain of strategic partnerships, the manager highlighted the role played by President JosÉ Eduardo dos Santos, highlighting that the Angolan statesman has been play a good leading role.

He added that with the implementation of these projects in Angola, his institution will create more opportunities of jobs for Angolan citizens and make the country economically stronger.

"Angola is a good partner and we intend to expand the investments in other areas ", he said.
