Ghana : ADVANCING INVESTMENTS AND TRADE IN AFRICA Chapter launched in GHANA

June 2, 2014

In order to help boost sustainable investments and trade in Ghana and across Africa, the Minister of Trade and Industry Mr Haruna Iddrisu has launched the Advancing Investments and Trade in Africa (AITA) Chapter in Ghana.

It is also to promote enhanced business cooperation between AITA Ghana and members around the world in learning about business prospects in Ghana and the African region.

In a speech read on his behalf, the minister said the setting up of AITA would offer increased prospects for Ghanaian entrepreneurs to develop and lure investment by a thriving private industry into Ghana and also enhanced investments that could lead to the generation of jobs and revenue for the country's people.

It would also help ease trade globally in order to allow greater cooperation and coordination between AITA s Washington D.C. and Ghana members.
