BRUSSELS (Alliance News) - UK public finance report and Eurozone current account data are the important economic data releases expected on Friday.
At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is set to release public sector finance data. The UK public sector net borrowing is seen at GBP 8.7 billion in May compared to GBP 7.4 billion in April.
Central Bureau of Statistics of the Netherlands will release its consumer confidence and consumer spending reports at 3.30 am ET. Economists expect the confidence index to improve to 0 in June from -2 in May. Consumer spending fell 2.3% year-over-year in March.
At 4 am ET, the European Central Bank is expected to release its current account data for April. In March, the current account surplus totaled seasonally adjusted EUR 18.8 billion.
Italy's statistical office ISTAT is due to release its industrial orders figures at 4.00 am. Industrial orders are expected to rise 1% month-over-month in April following the 1.3% rise in March. Annually, industrial orders rose 2.8% in March.
At 3 am ET, Finance ministers of the Eurozone are scheduled to meet at Luxembourg. European Central Bank official Yves Mersch is expected to speak at 4.15 am ET on Panel in Brussels.
Turkish Central Bank's survey of expectations is due at 7.30 am ET. Minutes of the monetary policy committee meeting of the National Bank Of Poland is expected at 8 am ET.
