June 19--Sixteen high school singers from all over the state will be here for Leslie McEwen's eighth annual music camp next week.

It is the largest number to date. McEwen brings in college vocal instructors from Washington, Oregon, and Alabama for the event, dedicated to her late mentor, Julian Patrick.

Her faculty will present a concert Sunday at First United Methodist Church at 4 p.m.

The students' final concert will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Grove Recital Hall on the Wenatchee Valley College campus at 1300 Fifth St. The suggested donation is $5.

McEwen has a reputation for turning out high-quality singers, and next week will be no exception.

Her singers will also perform Tuesday at Pybus Public Market and Thursday at the Upper Eastside Coffee House on Grant Road, both at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
