United States : FRONTIER launches pay-as-you-go broadband service

June 17, 2014

Frontier Communications has started offering its customers in its Ohio territory a pay-as-you-go option to purchase their broadband DSL service.

Customers with the Pay-As-You-Go program will get access to purchase broadband Internet access in increments of one, seven or 30 days. For last several years, wireless operators have offered prepaid services, but Frontier is one of the first wireline telcos to bring such type of a service to the market.

Pay-As-You-Go Broadband will prove to be a significant solution for those who seeking financial flexibility, and will be the perfect solution for seasonal users, students, travelers, and also low-income and credit-challenged customers.

Ohio addresses the seasonality of some of the state's customers, and hence it was considered as a suitable area to offer a pay-as-you-go option.

Ohio features various seasonal vacation areas, like the Lake Erie shores and islands and Hocking Hills, along with major college towns, including Oxford, Bowling Green, Athens and Ashland.
