Taiwan Machinery Equipment Exports to Mainland Rallies Up

TAIWAN, June 17, SinoCast -- The TAMI (Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry) revealed exports of USD 1.79 billion for machinery equipment in May, climbing 4.1% from a year earlier. Calculating by New Taiwan dollar, exporting value inched up 6% to TWD 54 billion. The figure reached USD 8.25 billion or TWD 249.4 billion in first five months, moving up 7.3% or 9.9%.

Taiwan's growth of machinery equipment exports to Mainland China changed from negative to positive in May and the first five months, hitting 5.9% in May, turning negative growth in first four months. The growth was 1.3% in the first five months, boosting total exporting value to nearly USD 2.17 billion.
