June 17, 2014

TMC has unveiled new agenda details for Software Telco Congress, held August 12-14, at The Rio in Las Vegas.

According to a release, the event will focus on the benefits and opportunities that Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) offer, and will bring together the industry's leading Tier 1, 2 and 3 telco carriers, resellers and developers. Software Telco Congress will explore the technology, services and best approaches that promise to significantly increase carrier network flexibility while reducing costs.

"As virtualization and SDN continue to grow within the telecom market, it is imperative for companies to stay on top of industry innovations and trends that will enable their organization to run as efficiently as possible," said Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO and conference chairman. "NFV and SDN are popular topics among the telecom industry and we are excited to bring this event to our ITEXPO attendees and offer such an exciting agenda."

The full Software Telco Congress agenda includes sessions that will explore the transition from network hardware to software, and the resulting levels of flexibility that will enable carriers to quickly roll out lucrative new services to network subscribers.
