Eastern Airlines Purchased 80 Boeing 737 Aircrafts

SHANGHAI, June 16, SinoCast -- China Eastern Airlines (SHSE; 600115) signed an agreement with Boeing in China on the purchase of 80 Boeing 737 series aircrafts. The Boeing 737 series aircrafts include Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737MAX. They will be delivered in batches from 2016 to 2020.

Basic consideration is about USD 7.39 billion in total, or about CNY 45.8 billion. The price covers aircraft body and engines. Through business operation, commercial bank loans and other financing tools, Eastern Airlines will pay for the aircrafts in phases. This is not expected to affect its cash flow and business operation strongly.
