June 15--Ivette Barajas is vice president and SBA business development officer, Adrick Akoopie is assistant vice president and bank card manager, and Lisa Hickey is assistant vice president and business product manager at Nevada State Bank. Barajas has more than 16 years of experience and Hickey has been with Nevada State Bank since 2008. Additionally, Rita Vaswani is vice president and private banking relationship manager at the Private Bank by Nevada State Bank. She has more than two decades of banking experience and a background in health care and gaming. She previously worked with the bank's professional banking team.

Kevin Welch is design director at EV&A Architects. He has more than 15 years of experience in architecture.

Joseph Vassallo, president of Paragon Pools, received the 2014 Lifesaver Award from the National Drowning Prevention Alliance for promoting safe water activities.

Raymond Weamer is vice president and SBA loan specialist for City National Bank'sSouthern Nevada and San Diego regions. He will split his time between the two and work locally out of the bank's regional center in Summerlin. Weamer has 26 years of experience in the banking industry and previously worked for JP Morgan Chase Bank.

Oncologist and hematologist Dr. Carlos William Araujo and Certified Physician Assistant Chet Whitley joined HealthCare Partners Medical Group, a physician-run group that provides primary, pediatric, specialty and urgent care services in Southern Nevada. Araujo sees patients at the San Martin, Maryland Parkway and Pahrump clinics, while Whitley sees patients at the West Craig Clinic.

CJ Manthe is administrator of the Nevada Housing Division. She has more than 25 years of management experience and worked for 10 years as chief financial officer and deputy director of the Nevada Rural Housing Authority.

Metro Police Sgt. Cindy Rodriguez received the national Latina of the Year Award from the National Latino Peace Officers Association.

Susan Curry, vice president of operations at Xyience Xenergy, received a 2014 Top Women in Convenience Award in the senior executive category. The award recognizes women in the convenience retail industry.

Mayte Heredia is the facilitator for Vegas PBS's Ready to Learn project, which provides literacy, health and math workshops to schools and families. Heredia is bilingual in English and Spanish and previously worked at the Title 1 Family Engagement Centers.

Timothy Cayson is director of entertainment and customer development at Food-Art-Music-Entertainment, an Asian restaurant at the Linq.

Bruce Rowe is scheduled to receive the Casino Marketing Lifetime Achievement Award in July. He has worked at Harrah's Entertainment, GTECH and Bally Technologies.

Lauren Westerfield was promoted to vice president of marketing and entertainment at Aliante Casino. She previously was executive director of marketing and entertainment.

Francine Lincer is director of compliance and education for the Nevada Health Care Association Perry Foundation.

Snell and Wilmer attorney John Delikanakis joined the board of directors of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance and the advisory board of the Modern Contemporary Art Museum.

Patricia Cate is a franchise owner for Cruise Planners-American Express Travel, a home-based travel agent network.

Shawn Walkenshaw is an associate with Greene Infuso, a commercial bankruptcy, litigation and personal injury law firm.

The American Lung Association honored five Southern Nevada respiratory care professionals at its 28th Advances in Respiratory Care Conference. They are Daniel Bloedorn of Sunrise Hospital, Respiratory Therapist of the Year; Patricia Machuca of Mountain View Hospital, Acute Care Respiratory Therapist of the Year; Marla Pitts of Kindred Hospital, Long Term Respiratory Therapist of the Year; John Foresee of Desert View Hospital, Rural Respiratory Therapist of the Year; and Denise Warrick of Bennett Medical, Non-Traditional Respiratory Therapist of the Year.

Spiegelworld relocated from New York to Las Vegas and hired David Foster as CEO, John McCoy as chief marketing officer and Mike Bauder as senior vice president of production. The company produces "Absinthe" at Caesars Palace, operates Rose. Rabbit. Lie. at the Cosmopolitan and produces "Vegas Nocturne" at Rose. Rabbit. Lie.

Keri Keep is catering sales manager, Christa Hinkle is sales manager and Cindy DiLeo is an executive host at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Rampart Casino. Keep previously worked at Planet Hollywood, Buca di Beppo and Canyon Gate Country Club. Hinkle most recently worked at Red Rock Casino Resort and the Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort. DiLeo has more than 15 years of marketing experience at the former Aladdin, Planet Hollywood, the Riviera and American Casinoand Entertainment properties.

Lisa Montague is media buying director at MassMedia Corporate Communications. She has worked in the advertising industry for more than 10 years. In addition, MassMedia moved to 3333 E. Serene Ave., Suite 100, Henderson.

Steph Cope is head brewer and Steve Brockman is director of research and design at CraftHaus Brewery.

John Caparella, president and chief operating officer of the Venetian, Palazzo and Sands Expo, was among 20 tourism executives who traveled to the White House to discuss tourism policy with President Barack Obama and lawmakers. Caparella serves on the board of directors for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

Steven Reed is president and Roland Quast is senior executive vice president of MVP REIT, MVP Realty Advisors and MVP American Securities. Reed previously worked as product manager at ARC Realty Finance Trust, and Quast was vice president of national accounts at Behringer Securities.

Lt. Col. Paul Brezinski received an Early Career Healthcare Executive Regent's Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives. Brezinksi is board certified in health care management as a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
