Melodious ghazal evening mesmerize audience

A melodious evening "Sham-e-Ghazal" arranged by Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) mesmerized the audience from twin cities.

The evening was arranged to promote ghazal singing and provide entertainment to the music lovers.

PNCA is working for the promotion of art and artists and encouragement of young talent. The evening started with presentation by Sahira Tahir gold medalist in music from Punjab University and have represented Pakistan abroad started with "Kahan ho tum chalay aao muhabat ka taqaza hai", "Wo ishq jo hum se rooth gia" and much more received great applause from the audience.

Nirmal Shah having thirty films playback singing have command over ghazal geet and thumery presented famous ghazal of Iqbal Bano "Dagh-e-Dil hum ko yad anni lage" and Noorjahan famous ghazal "Dil dharakne ka sabab yad aiya" Raat Phalee Ha Tery Surmai Anchal ki Tarah etc.

Adeel Barqi having PTV award, radio award, graduate award and askari award to his credit received applause for presenting "Main hosh main tha to apne ghar gia kaise", Koo Bakoo phail gai bat shanasai ki", "Chupkey Chupkey Raat Din" and "Mohey Aie Na Jag se Laaj".

Prominent Flute player, Salman Adil also performed with singers and captured the attention of the audience throughout his performance.

The melodious flute performance of Salman Adil took the audience to the natural environment and cultural beauty.

Salman Adil said that he playing flute from young age, however I have no musical background. He said that memorable thing is that I have visited more than seven countries including Europe.

A large number of music lovers attended the evening.
