June 14--TWIN FALLS -- Tonight, members of Magic Valley Jubilee, a Christian music concert group, will perform their annual Flag Day Celebration Concert at the Twin Falls Reformed Church.

It will feature 23 patriotic and gospel songs and the audience is encouraged to sing along. An array of American flags will also be on display. The performance includes, "God Bless America," "My Country Tis of Thee" and "To God be Glory."

"It's to honor the service men and women," said David Bolster, who started the group in 2006 with his wife Lawnie Kay.

The Bolsters founded Magic Valley Jubilee after another concert series they led for three years called Magic Valley Gospel Opry ended in 2007. Magic Valley Jubilee is a once a month Christian community concert series created with the goal to "promote the finest Christian talent in southern Idaho" says the group's website.

There are eight members in the group, which has had up to 25 members over the years.

"We all love to sing and play," David said.

Karee Conner of Twin Falls has been a member of the group for five years. Conner said she became involved for two reasons.

"No. 1, we are praising God through music and No. 2, friendship," she said.

Conner attends Twin Falls Reformed Church and said she enjoys the opportunity to perform gospel music outside of church.

"This is what we are born to do is spread the word of Jesus Christ," Conner said.

Renee Wright of Twin Falls has been a member for seven years.

"I just wanted more outreach to the community. The whole point is to reach people with Christ," Wright said. "This is what I was created to do. God gives gifts to everyone."

Rachel Williams, a country gospel musician, who recorded an album called "Rachel Williams Unveiled" in Nashville, Tenn., is also a member of the group. Williams said she lived in Nashville for nine years before returning home a year ago.

"You go where God opens the door," Williams said. "There is definitely a lot of ministry opportunities here."
