Landscapes exhibition starts at Gallery 6

June 13, 2014

The exhibition of landscape paintings by five eminent artists started here at Gallery 6 on Thursday.

A large number of people visited the exhibition on the opening day to see the work of A.Q. Arif, Ghulam Mustafa, Kaleem Khan, Nazir Ahmed and Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi.

A.Q Arif surprises the viewers at every exhibition with a new alluring visual experience. His work carries great insight into the nature. He discovers qualities of nature which are rarely portrayed before and thus his style of painting is original.

With extensive experience in the field of art, Ghulam Mustafa has numerous solo and group exhibitions to his credit. His paintings are found with collectors at home and abroad. He is an extensively traveled painter.

Landscape painting is a favorite subject for artists from Punjab and Khayber Pukhtunkhawa. Quetta born Kaleem Khan is the only artist from Balochistan, who has devoted his career to the genre.

Nazir Ahmed chooses to alter the responses of his viewers by limiting and modifying the information that he provides. Nazir breathes a new life into his pieces when he creates sculptures and drawings out of found objects; by creating a new purpose and new role for those objects, he re-makes them and challenges ideas of a single lifetime of an artwork.

Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi is a painter of the landscape genre with two decades of painting to his credit. He has several solo and group shows to his credit and his paintings are in major collections home and abroad.
