Amplidata Invites Technology Partners to Build on Its Himalaya Storage Architecture

June 12, 2014

Milpitas, CA (PRWEB) June 12, 2014

Hardware Platform Certification, Software Development Kit with API, Training and More Expand Customer Choice in Himalaya-Based Offerings

Amplidata, a leader in object-based software defined storage, today announced a new technology partner program that provides partners with technical, sales and marketing support to increase the variety of Himalaya-based offering for customers.

In addition to certifying a variety of hardware platforms, offering a software developer's kit with API, Amplidata will certify and train program participants and provide marketing and sales support. The program is the foundation for our partner solution ecosystem that focuses on creating real customer value while driving overall solution demand.

"We have built a market-changing storage architecture, and this program will give customers the benefit of our partners' expertise in addition to the most capable storage technology available," said Mark Ward, Amplidata senior vice president of sales and marketing. "By developing strong connections with our partners, we can vastly expand the variety and value of Himalaya-based storage solutions available to the market."

Amplidata's new Himalaya architecture provides a new framework for storage, designed from the ground up to address demanding cloud applications and provide service-level flexibility for businesses looking to optimize their cloud resources. With Himalaya, customers can scale up to zettabytes of data and trillions of stored objects. Himalaya is the foundation for two new offerings: a versatile platform designed for cloud service providers and OEM's, and an enterprise-ready, easy to use product. Service Provider and OEM Edition and Enterprise Edition will be available on July, 1 2014. Existing Amplidata AmpliStor customers have a seamless upgrade path to Himalaya.
