Mashreq offers new Solitaire Credit Card

Mashreq on Tuesday unveiled its new, super-premium card, the Mashreq Solitaire Credit Card, aimed exclusively at the discerning, affluent customer.

Emirates NBD mePay money transfer service

Emirates NBD announced the launch of Emirates NBD mePay, an innovative money transfer service that enables an account holder at the bank to transfer money to another customer using mobile numbers instead of account numbers. Suvo Sarkar, general manager of retail banking and wealth management at Emirates NBD, said: "We are confident that the newly launched service, which is in line with the government's initiative to transform Dubai into a smart city, will revolutionise peer-to-peer money transfers in the UAE."


CBI awarded for 'Transparency in Retail Banking'

Commercial Bank International (CBI) has been awarded the 'Transparency in Retail Banking' award at the recent Banker Middle East Industry Awards ceremony held in Dubai. The award has been presented for the first time in the Mena region.

Kris Babicci, CBI's chief executive officer, stated: "We are honoured to have received this distinctive award as the win emphasises CBI's success in raising the benchmark for retail banking in the UAE and across the Mena region."


Sharjah Islamic Bank opens branch in Al Khalidiya

Mohammed Omar, undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, officially inaugurated the new branch of Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) in Al Khalidiya district in Abu Dhabi. The ceremony was attended by Mohammed Abdullah, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, alongside a number of the bank's officials and employees. The opening of SIB's second branch in Abu Dhabi after the Electra Road branch brought the total number of SIB's branches across the UAE to 28, while the number of SIB's ATMs have also grown to 100.


DWC Business Park to offer new offices

Dubai World Central (DWC) has announced new offers of added office spaces at its state-of-the-art Business Park that can cater to new companies setting up business in the UAE, particularly those coming from the growing SME sector.

The new offices are available in three different sizes: small offices of 45sqm to 90sqm as ready to trade today and occupy in November 2014 license; medium offices of 100 square metres to 400square metres as fitted out units on flexible lease terms; and large offices of 500 square metres and above.
