BioNJ Career/Connection Revamps Traditional Career Fair to Meet Demands of 21st Century Job Market

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Biotech Week -- The Life Sciences Talent Network (LSTN) at BioNJ will host its 4th annual career fair-Career/Connection-on June 12, from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the New Jersey Center of Excellence located at 1041 US Highway 202/206 in Bridgewater, NJ (see also BioNJ).

The event provides the opportunity for professionals and job seekers within the life sciences industry to connect with local industry leaders, key recruiters and headhunters, education providers and career counselors, and connect with other professional organizations.

"Career/Connection sets out to create a direct connection for job seekers and employers in an atmosphere of active networking and information sharing," said Debbie Hart, President and CEO of BioNJ. "The New Jersey biotech industry is thriving and Career/Connection gives both job seekers and employers the ability to connect on the spot."

Employers can promote their job opportunities prior to the event, allowing job seekers to focus their attention on the day of the event to specific jobs they are interested in pursuing. Meanwhile, employers can access a special database of attendees' resumes prior to the event to give them the opportunity to identify some likely candidates for on-site recruiting.

"This targeted approach to connecting industry professionals with employers has proven to be effective," according to LSTN Business Development Manager Matt Alcade, "Attendees and exhibitors will leave knowing they have made meaningful connections to advance their careers or workforce."
