Baillie Gifford Japan Trust Underperforms benchmark

LONDON (Alliance News) - The Baillie Gifford Japan Trust PLC Wednesday said said its net asset value at fair value fell 0.2% in the three months to May 31, underperforming a 0.4% rise in its benchmark index.

In a statement, the trust said its share price fell 2.1% over the same period.

The trust's benchmark is the TOPIX total return in sterling terms.

Baillie Gifford Japan Trust shares were down 0.2% at 352.35 pence Wednesday morning.
