Amazon teases its upcoming 3D smartphone

June 11, 2014

Amazon is all set to reveal a new product on June 18 Ė what that product is though remains a mystery. To get us curious, the online retailer has released a short teaser on YouTube.†It shows a bunch of people moving their heads around while looking down, and getting absolutely excited by what they are seeing.

This is probably for the long-rumored Amazon smartphone, which reportedly features several front-facing cameras to display 3D images on screen.

Not much else is know about the device, except that it will likely run on a modified version of Android, much like the Kindle Fire tablets. According to BGR, the smartphone may also use AT&Tís sponsored data plan, which means streaming content from Amazonís video or music services will not count against the monthly data allotment.
