June 11--STRAWBERRY IMMERSION
1 First United Church of Christ in Quakertown offers much more than shortcake at its annual Strawberry Festival. Besides mountains of berries, shortcake and ice cream, visitors also will be treated to a concert by the Quakertown Band. The rain-or-shine event, 4:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, will have indoor and outdoor seating for guests. Many home-made cakes and pies (some with strawberry themes), also will be available for sale. Additional games and a silent auction will be on the program, before the band concert 6-8 p.m. in the church's air-conditioned sanctuary.
Looking for still more berry-focused events? Home cooks and professional bakers can compete in two separate categories of the Strawberry Bake-Off, at the Easton Farmers Market Strawberry Festival, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Info: 610-330-9942 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
True strawberry lovers can fill the time between the Easton and Quakertown events by picking fresh, homegrown strawberries at pick-your-own strawberry farms including Seiple Farms in Bath and Bob White Acres, a few miles from the Quakertown exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

PURE SPROUTS IS SPROUTING
3 Lori Stansberry's Pure Sprouts, a service that delivers fresh, locally grown foods to Lehigh Valley residents' doors, is offering new ways to eat healthy and new options for fresh ingredients. Her staff now is assembling and delivering meal kits (with fresh ingredients prepped and ready for you to cook) and offering in-home Pure Sprouts Tasting Parties so you and your friends can sample their new meal kits. New, too, is their Workplace Delivery Program. Employees place orders online and then can have the fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses and other dairy products they've selected delivered to their offices, rather than their homes.
