Cambridge Mercantile Group Appoints Jason Gonsalves as Chief Financial Officer

Cambridge Mercantile Group, a global payment and risk management solution provider, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Gonsalves to the position of Chief Financial Officer.

As a key member of the executive leadership team at Cambridge, Jason will oversee the firm's global finance and operations functions and, in addition, develop strategic initiatives to further position Cambridge as a leading organization within a highly competitive industry.

Jason's international and domestic financial management career spans nearly two decades, during which he held a number of senior financial officer roles at major multi-national firms across varying industries including financial services, e-commerce, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing, and software publishing. His previous roles include executive leadership positions with Hudson's Bay, Gateway Payment Solutions and Allstream, to name a few. Most recently, he held the position of CFO for Technology at the Bank of Montreal.

Jason's expertise is highlighted by his extensive experience leading transformational change. He has been instrumental in the development of financial and operational controls, including a number of ERP implementations, and has led various outsourcing initiatives over the course of his career. Jason has also spearheaded negotiations with key stakeholders and navigated organizations through corporate finance transactions, including an international IPO.

Jason completed his formal education through the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto with Honours. He further obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations.
