May 9, 2014

May 09--The Grateful Dead stopped touring nearly 20 years ago, but that doesn't mean you can't still enjoy the band's many, many, many live shows. The site archive.org has a treasure trove of the jam band's concerts available for download.

But what if you're not a Deadhead? What possible reason could you have for visiting the site's vast music library? Plenty. Dozens upon dozens of other artists have made their live recordings available. Some you might have heard of:

Deer Tick

Vic Chesnutt

Spoon

Southern Culture On The Skids

My Morning Jacket

Others you might not know, but should:

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists

The Clumsy Lovers

Jake Shimabakuro

North Mississippi All-Stars

And still others are worth checking out just for their names:

Currently Nameless

Vertigo Jazz Project

Spoonful of Vicodin

Red Zeppelin

Psychobilly Cadillac

Organic Hate Mail

Hayseed Dixie
