Australia : HEAD of Private Bank in Asia appointed by Westpac

Westpac Banking Corporation declared the appointment of Francis D'Souza as head of Westpac private bank, Asia.

Established in Singapore, Westpac's regional head office, D'Souza will be in charge for the management and oversight of all of Westpac's private banking services and operations across Asia.

D'Souza has above 25 years' regional experience in the financial sector. He joins Westpac from ANZ, where he was served as regional director for its Private Bank, Asia, in charge for rising the private banking business across Asian markets. Previous to that, he spent 15 years in different senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank across multiple Asian countries performing country, regional and global roles in consumer banking.

Damien MacRae, general manager, Westpac Premium, said: "Francis joins my team with significant breadth of experience in key private banking markets in Asia and a track record of building deep relationships with customers. His leadership in these areas will help us build upon our private banking proposition in the region."
