Green Crescent reports Dh6.3m in net profits for Q1

Abu Dhabi - Green Crescent, a health and life insurance company, reported on Thursday a net profit of Dh6.3 million for the first quarter of 2014, a four-fold increase on the 1.2 million reported in Q1 2013.

For the period, the company grew its gross written premiums by more than 30 per cent over Q1 2013 to just over Dh30 million. Meanwhile, continued competition for group health customers led to a net growth of 10 per cent in underwriting margins, which rose to Dh4.3 million.
