New Chief Operating Officer at The Source for Learning

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Journal of Technology -- Lynn Rejniak is the new Chief Operating Officer at The Source for Learning (SFL;, a Reston-based non-profit educational technologies corporation. She will manage the ongoing operation of SFL's Educational Broadband Service (EBS) and its three online services: TeachersFirst (, PreschoolFirst (, and TogetherForLearning, a new service currently in development.

Ms. Rejniak served most recently as Executive Director, Academic Systems and Technology at the University of South Florida. In this capacity, she worked with the Executive Director of Innovative Education on strategies, policies and solutions for the University's information technology, online learning, and continuing education programs.

Her 20-plus-year career includes a variety of experiences in distance education, instructional technology, corporate telecommunications services, and broadcast television. She is also the current Chair of the National EBS Association--an advocacy organization representing the interests of Educational Broadband Service operators. Her professional affiliations include Gartner, Educause, and InfoComm International. She holds a B.A. from the University of South Florida.
