Fiesta Broadway Sets New Attendance and Performer Record During its more than six-hour 25th Anniversary Celebration!

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Entertainment Newsweekly -- MundoFOX 22, the Los Angeles flagship affiliate of MundoFOX and the official television station of Fiesta Broadway, gathered a record breaking 200,000 revelers at its exclusive Placita MundoFOX this past Sunday, for its much-awaited Silver Anniversary. A record setting 100 plus performers entertained Fiesta-goers for more than six-hours of non-stop entertainment across an eclectic carnival of great live music ranging from Electronic Dance, Rock, Norteno, Cumbia and Pop. The Fiesta was not only the largest 5 de Mayo celebration in the world but it was also a colorful pageant of Latin American culture.

The day's festivities featured the exceptional performances of multiplatinum recording artist Cristian Castro, Marisela and the legendary Angelica Maria followed by a parade of great acts such as Mexican Dubwiser, ex-Tucanes de Tijuana vocalist Marion Moreno, Julio Reyes, Mexican breakout performer Gerardo Bazua, Radioelei, Los 2 Primos, Alerta 3, Cheyo Carrillo, Los Carcacoles, Bombonenas and Puerto Rican crooner Angel Lopez. After all performances, artists were interviewed with over twenty news media outlets and continued to offer fans a rare meet and greet experience inside Placita MundoFOX.

An ambassador from Mayor Eric Garcetti presented Fiesta Broadway and its organizing committee a citywide honor proclaiming into city books that April 27 as the official Fiesta Broadway Day in the City of Los Angeles. Councilmember of the City of Los Angeles, Jose Huizar presented all performers a Certificate of Appreciation as well as beautifully elaborate City Council proclamation.

Mexican powerhouse singer-songwriter-actress, and long-time childhood friend, Angelica Vale, delivered a super fan treat as she surprised Cristian Castro with the first ever Grand Fiesta Marshal award. The crowd roared in applause as Cristian asked 'La Vale' to join him singing his perennial hit "Lloviendo Estrellas". Fiesta fans erupted when the impromptu duet culminated the song in a shower of red confetti and the crowd sang along. All performers joined Cristian and Angelica on stage for one closing encore.

MundoFOX 22 will broadcast three special programs to commemorate the momentous festivities on/around and behind Fiesta Broadway's successful 25(th) Anniversary celebrations. Beginning on Thursday, May 1 at 4pm "Que No Te Cuenten" Entertainment Magazine will air a special Fiesta Broadway behind the scenes edition; May 1 at 10pm a Special Edition of its award winning local Newscast Noticias MundoFOX 22: Presenta 25 Anos de Fiesta Broadway" a look back at the historic street festival; and, all culminates on Sunday, May 4 at 9pm in the broadcast the best of "Fiesta Broadway 2014: Celebrando 25!"
