Violin Memory Rolls Out Flash Acceleration Option for SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise and SAP IQ

Violin Memory, Inc., a provider of all-flash storage arrays and appliances delivering application solutions for enterprises, announced a new enterprise-grade solution for SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP ASE) and SAP IQ software.

According to a release, Violin Memory Arrays for SAP ASE and SAP IQ can deliver more than 10 times the performance acceleration and up to 90 percent reduction in operating expenses over legacy disk- based architectures and environments. The Flash Acceleration Option is now available for SAP ASE and SAP IQ workloads utilizing Violin Flash Arrays.

The Flash Acceleration Option delivers an optimized configuration in support of SAP ASE and SAP IQ as well as priority support for users. Customers that move database workloads onto platforms equipped with Violin storage may achieve 10 times application acceleration with a reduction of over 60 percent in power, cooling and space consumption, as well as a decrease in storage footprint of up to 90 percent.
