United States : SENATE releases $1.16B bonding proposal

On Monday, the Senate released its almost $1.16 billion bonding plan, with less than1 three weeks to go before the 2014 legislative session adjourned.

The bonding bill provides money for publicly owned buildings and property that need to refurbished or replaced.

The Senate is urging a cash infusion due to the $1.2 billion surplus, like the House proposal.

The breakdown amounts to $198 million in cash and $846,000 in loans.

The total suggested House bonding bill amounts to $975M.

$1.2B is the Governor's.
