CCFP-IN is suitable for corporate investigators and government entities including:
Digital forensics examiners in law enforcement to support cybercrime investigations;
Cybercrime and cybersecurity professionals working in the government or private sectors;
Computer forensics engineers & managers working in corporate information security;
Digital forensics and e-Discovery consultants focused on litigation support;
Cyber intelligence analysts working for defense/intelligence agencies;
And computer forensic consultants working for management or specialty consulting firms.
To attain the CCFP, applicants must hold a four-year degree leading to a Baccalaureate or regional equivalent and have at least three years of cumulative paid, full-time, professional experience in digital forensics or IT security in three out of the six domains of the credential. Those not holding a degree must have six years of cumulative paid full-time digital forensics or IT security work experience in three out of the six domains of the credential; or an alternate forensics certification approved by (ISC)-2 and five years of full-time digital forensics or IT security experience in three out of the six domains of the credential. Those lacking the appropriate number of years of work experience required for CCFP can earn the Associate of (ISC)-2 until the requisite work experience is obtained.
