Zamfara NLC Partners Private Coy On N243 Million Loan Scheme

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Zamfara State Chapter is partnering with a private coy FMC International Links Limited to empower Zamfara workers through its loan scheme.

Micro industrial machines and Household electronic items were distributed to interested civil servants on a 12- month loan basis under the scheme which was flagged off during the May Day celebration.

The programme according to the scheme's main contractor represented by its executive vice Chairman, Mr Samuel Olugbenga Asegun had gulped N243 million. The workers main Empowerment Loan Scheme would provide, Tailoring Machines, Knitting Machines, Deep freezers, Plasma TV, Air conditioners and Generator sets.

The first batch of the items was distributed by state deputy governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad as part of 2014 workers Day celebration. Mr Asegun further explained that the company was already finalizing all necessary arrangements to complete the delivery of the remaining two batches within the next few weeks. The scheme, according to him is supported by the First City Monument Bank (FCMB).
