BRIEF: Fort Smith Art Museum Offers Summer Camps

May 31--The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum will host art camps for area children this summer.

Registration is underway for It's an Arty Party for children 4 to 6. The class will introduce students to art through viewing and talking about art and exhibitions on view, scavenger hunts, interactive games, drawing, painting, storytelling and other fun and educational hands-on activities.

Camp classes are $10 per one-hour session. Students can sign up for as many sessions as they want. Sessions will be offered at 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.July 22-26.

Registration also is underway for Paper Making Fun for children 7-13. This class will be five days of paper making where students will learn to make their own book inspired by the art on view at the museum. This is a progressive course, so all five days are recommended.

Camp is $10 a day or $50 for the week and meets from 1-5 p.m. daily July 22-26.
