ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 2 -- Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass., has been assigned a patent (8,701,927) developed by six co-inventors for "nanoparticle thin-film coatings for enhancement of boiling heat transfer." The co-inventors are Eric Christopher Forrest, Berlin, Mass., Jacopo Buongiorno, Burlington, Mass., Robert E. Cohen, Jamaica Plain, Mass., Lin-wen Hu, Lexington, Mass., Erik Howard Williamson, Somerville, Mass., and Michael F. Rubner, Westford, Mass.
