All this was brought to the surface once again when "Gentlemen's Guide" -- developed at Hartford Stage and premiered there in 2012 -- stormed through the competition and Tuesday received 10 Tony Award nominations, the most of any show on

"Gentlemen's Guide" was nominated for the top award, outstanding new musical, and its director, Darko Tresnjak, was nominated for outstanding director in the musical category. Mr. Tresnjak is Hartford Stage's artistic director.

He's right. Bigger still will be the awards.
