Canada : CANADIAN SOLAR to construct USD 30 MW-AC of solar PV stations

May 3, 2014

Canadian Solar Inc. declared that National Bank of Canada would be giving the firm a USD 105 million in short-term construction financing to construct three solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Ontario totaling 30 MW-AC.

As per the province's feed-in tariff, all three of these projects have been granted 20-year contracts.

We appreciate the continued support of the National Bank of Canada, said Canadian Solar Chair and CEO Dr. Shawn Qu. This is the second construction loan package the bank has provided to Canadian Solar, further demonstrating our bankability, high project quality, and successful track record.

The strength and breadth of our broader global financing network directly reflects Canadian Solar's Tier 1 position in the solar industry, and is helping us to streamline and speed the development process.
